It capped an incredible year which saw Des host the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, watched by a global TV audience of 1 billion. He also has a huge following in Scotland for his hit Capital Radio Breakfast Show.
Des is an award-winning stand up comedian who first appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe as a teenager. Since then he has travelled the world with his warm and offbeat brand of humour, gaining fans and critical acclaim along the way.
