Warren was a local newspaper reporter for five years before he began his professional work in the world of arts and entertainment. Since then he has been a producer, promoter, manager, agent, fundraiser, tour booker, venue programmer, and occasional performer and compere. Warren was the partner of the late great comedian and broadcaster Linda Smith and helped establish The Linda Smith Memorial Fund to benefit the charity Target Ovarian Cancer.
He has also produced seven 'Loving Linda' comedy galas between 2010 and 2015.
Warren's role in Lakin McCarthy is to lead on and oversee the company's extensive touring programme.
