Monty Don

Monty Don is a renowned writer, BBC television presenter and the UK's favourite Gardener.

He has presented TV gardening and travel programmes for over 20 years and became lead presenter for the BBC flagship programme Gardeners' World between 2003 and 2008 and then again from 2011 when he began hosting the programme from his home at Longmeadow in Herefordshire.

He took on the role of lead presenter for the BBC’s coverage of the annual Chelsea Flower Show in 2014. Other TV credits include: Tomorrow's World, Real Gardens, Lost Gardens, Around The World In 80 Gardens, Italian Gardens and French Gardens.

His radio work includes anchoring the environmental series Shared Planet for BBC Radio 4 which explores the complex interface of a growing world human population and wildlife.

He is a prolific writer and journalist. He was the Observer's gardening editor for 12 years and writes for the Daily Mail and Gardeners' World Magazine. He has published over 20 books including the best selling Fork To Fork, The Sensuous Garden and The Jewel Garden (with his wife, Sarah Don).

Monty is a committed organic gardener and President of the Soil Association.
